Changing registration key

I am using a evalutaion version of windows server 2008 r2 standard and I have a good key that I've changed but is not working.
When updating the key, the proccess did the registration with microsoft but still not becoming a good version and also gives me a blue screen with the END_OF_NT_EVALUATION_PERIOD message

Is there any other step I have to do a part from changing the registration key?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Try (in dos window):
slmgr /ipk  <your valid key here>
You may have to type the key without dashes.

To activate:
slmgr /ato

In your Computer properties, you've already clicked "Change Product Key" and entered your new key, but it hasn't taken? If that's the case, here are the steps to force a key reset (from http://forevergeeks.com/change-product-key-on-windows-server-2008):

1. Open the command prompt and change working directory to System32 directory
2. Type in slmgr.vbs -ckms (this clears and KMS entry you may have)
3. Type slmgr.vbs -upk (this removes any product key installed)
4. Type slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (where the x’s is the new product key you want to use )
5. Type slmgr.vbs -ato (this activates the server)
