"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Make sure your desktop and laptops are in same domain where backup exec resides.
In symantec backup exec, go to 'Job setup' option and select new job through wizard.
New window pops up, select custom list and browse in active directory for your laptop and desktops. Push the agents remotely to selected computers. Once agent installed you will be ready to backup.
Again select job setup, and job through wizard and in custom list you can see your newly added devices.

(Note: Back up exec, desktop and laptops must be in same domain)

yes I had a look on the tools " installed agent and media servers on the other server option .

my exchnage server name on the list and notifying that you have 2 updates . i have done the update on the exchnage server . I have AD and file server agent licence also . but i can't find the agent for AD . only the same agent fopr AD as well as fileserver ?

Can I run -puch all the agent options at the same time or needs to go with individulay ? I did not remove the exchange server  . when i try to run the AD . it says no updates for the exchnage . still ok to keep that exchnage server and  run the others ?

i can see the laptop and desktops agents on the selection . that one fail due to FW and WMI enable thing . this should be Ok
SolarWinds® VoIP and Network Quality Manager(VNQM)

WAN and VoIP monitoring tools that can help with troubleshooting via an intuitive web interface. Review quality of service data, including jitter, latency, packet loss, and MOS. Troubleshoot call performance and correlate call issues with WAN performance for Cisco and Avaya calls

All agents installed in servers and desktops are same. Agents give an interface to back exec to select which should be included fro backup.
Its recommended to push agents one by one rather than pushing all in same time.
