Updating DLs through outlook

we are a multidomain envionment -AD 2003 native mode -exchange 2007 .The exchange infrastrucre is in sperate site .and all AD domains have site links to it

when a DL OWNER  tries to update his DL from outlook client -he gets permission denied error -EVEN  DL resides  in his own domain or other domain  .The workaround is to add or change the DS server entry in registry of PC in user profile  -but it has its own issue-the outlook client is dependednt on that DC server  .Any help in decoding the issue will be great .

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
