Citrix Web Interface

I currently have Web Interface Version 5.1.1 installed, and a few of my clients are saying that they are getting prompted to download again, because this version must be older than their current version.  I would think that I can upload the new client?  I know where to put the new client for them to download, but where do I name it at?  It appears to keep looking for the old file name?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Download the new clients and rename them to the same name as the current clients.  That had to be done to WI 4.x when Citrix changed the client name.

If the current client name is cCitrixOnlineClient.exe and the replacement is CitrixOnlineClientFull.exe, rename CitrixOnlineClientFull.exe to CitrixOnlineClient.exe.  Place the newly renamed client file in the same location the current client is located.

My current is XENAPPWEB.MSI  but the NEW files is a .EXE

Will this make a big difference?

Not for web interface.  Just rename it.  I would make a backup copy of your current files first.

My Client location is C:\Program Files\Citrix\Web Interface\5.1.1\Clients\ica32.  I don't think it is using IIS to deploy the clients.

I have a Citrix Access Gateway in front of the Farm, but I don't think that makes a difference.

I've completed all of the changes that you requested, but it still displays the "Page Can't be displayed" message.

Then I am out of ideas right now.  Maybe BLipman or basraj will chime in.

Ok thanks.  I just upgraded it to the 11.0.150 version.  Its still an msi, and is working well.  I'm going to award you some points though for helping me on the way.  Thanks

You are welcome.

Just found this, you can extract the MSI files.
jason15025Author Commented:
My problem is not with the MSI files, it apears that this is happening when I introduce the new installable for the clients that's and EXE file.  I get the errors that you mentioned in the earlier articles.  I also have to name my file XENAPPWEB.MSI for it to install.  Forgive me for not knowing very much.  This system was put in by the vendor, and dropped into my lap after he left.
