How to install Visual studio Team System 2008

Hi,

I use a Windows 2008 server, and i need to install visual studio team system 2008. i have full access to licensing .microsoft.com and I'm unsure what visual studio i need choose.

setup
We have 1 dedicated team foundation server 2008 and we want 4 developer machines to connect to this server.

i have tried to install Visual Studio Team Foundation server 2008 on the developer machine, but i get the message cannot be installed on 64 bit(windows 2008).

1 question can i upgrade visual studio 2008 Professional edt -> Visual studio Team System 2008

I'm using the Premium edition, however, I've been told that all versions of Visual Studio have the Team Foundation Explorer (client) built in.

Some products can use this
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=FAEB7636-644E-451A-90D4-7947217DA0E7&displaylang=en
to connect to Team Foundation Server

My full installation I mean using all the defaults when installing.  Some people use a custom installation and remove features.  That has nothing to do with the Edition.

You don't have to install anything on the clients other than Visual Studio.  Visual Studio is capable of connecting to Team Foundation Server as is if you did the full installation of VS

Hi Tedbilly,

Thank you for your answer, so it is enough just to install visual studio 2008 professional?
You write as if you did the full installation of VS, what is the full instalaltion of vs? Is it the enterprise edition or?
