what are the shortcomings with the out of the box calendar ?

i do not want to creat a new entry for every day and every collegue. They have different shifts so i also can not create repetitive entry. on the month overview i would also like to see more than the standard informations. <br />

i am looking for a kind of calendar where i directly can write in the days.

I want to create a service schedule with sharepoint 2003 but i do not see any easy solution.<br />

The service schedule should be for a team about 6 persons. My colleagues will work in 3 shifts from Monday till Saturday and I will also enter their holidays in this service schedule. Will be happy if anyone has an easy solution for me how to create a schedule like this. I tried it with a calendar but it did not really work.<br />
