Word Versioning from Word 2000, is no longer available in 2010?
Is it really true that the below feature, Word Versioning, is no longer in Word 2007-2010?
I've seen the list dealing with objects, tables and shapes that are not compatible in 2010, but I can't find this particular function.
It can be found in Word 2000, File>Version menu. When turned on, it automatically keep tracks of each "save" you make to the word file and enables you to retrieve the previous version of the file.
Note: I don't believe this is File >Info> Versions, in 2010. I tested it and I don't think it's the same thing.
Any clarification would really help.
Here's one of the posts I found:

Have you tried the Version Extraction Tool described in that link?
The 2010 version can be downloaded from this link.

Users are in a locked down environment. We can't use any other tools at the moment without cutting through red tape.
I just want to know officially has it been removed in 2010, and then I can start my red tape cutting there.

Hmm. Autorecover isn't quite the same thing as Versioning.
