compatible hdd for SBS 08
Is there a usb external hdd that is compatible with SBS 08? WD, and Seagate are definately a no-go per their help desk. Looking for something in the 750GB spectrum. We backup our SBS08 via Symantec and the WD usb hdd's don't work so hot. One day they will show up, one day they won't.
Might want to check out the Dell RD1000 External

Not exactly what I'm looking for. I did some checking and they don't like SBS08 or Symantec.

That's an issue with their USB chipset firmware(one touch backup and such)
I would buy a Vantec case and just use any generic disk you can get.

Have you thought about a NAS with a hot swap drive?
I use a Netgear NAS with 2 1TB drives that are mirrored RAID 1 and I just pop 1 out daily and hot swap in the new.
It rebuilds the new one and I always have a hot spare just in case.
EMC got some for around $250 including disks.
