Outlook reply all problem with code and additional feature

Mathew,

Part 1:

I imported the two files and when I hit Alt+F8 to run the macro it prompts an error message:

Run-time error '91':

Object variable or With block variable not set

Is there an add-in I need to add with the code?

Part 2:

When the person chooses 'No' when prompted if they want to 'reply all', the only e-mail addresses they will be able to send to are internal domain e-mail addresses e.g. if they are working at  company.com they will only be able to reply to @company.com e-mails

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Two questions is not particularly polite but:

1. Do you have a mail item open when running the sub?

2. That functionality is not apparent in Patricls code ... is something new you want?

I'm not sure what you mean that "two questions is not particularly polite". Can you explain?
Chris BottomleySoftware Quality Lead EngineerCommented:
The 'correct' approach is to raise two questions on the grounds that as soon as two or more experts start answering different aspects of the questions the points available are divided.

One question appears to be to do with a 'bug' whilst the other appears to be a request for new functionality hence the two appear to independant of each other.

I say 'polite' since I do not know if there is a specific directive for that but as an expert I would imagine you prefer to answer one specific question rather than mix it up with multiple aspects to one question.

Also note I made my comment to encourage a rethink in the future ... as should be evident I will try to answer both parts which is in turn only polite!

I'm still no sure about the meaning of your phrase but if you want me to split this up into another question I will do that.

As far as the question:

1. Do you have a mail item open when running the sub?

The answer is yes.

And also yes to the second question:  the functionality is something new I want.

Again if you want me to ask this in a different way let me know.

Part two would seem to be the subject of the other thread that David is leading so I don't think you need a new one as such.

As for the first part:

Which line is failing and do you have the user form in your instal?

The code is working fine now. I was running the macro while in preview mode. Had to open the message then press F8.

That'll be as I suspected then:

1. Do you have a mail item open when running the sub?
