snmp for disk failure

Hi all

We have network monitoring software (netcrunch) which uses snmp among other things

We also use HP servers which run the system management software as standard

The question is - how do i send snmp alerts to the netcrunch server for disk failure alerts?

I have set the snmp community string and set it to send traps to the netcrunch server....

Thanks in advance

We were unable to detect disk failure using SNMP. Syslog will. You may want to look at that.

Thanks, can you remember which event IDs you used?

Varies from server to server. We set up syslog, pulled a drive from RAID set, and looked at logs.
