Does Web Apps (specifically Word 2010) in a Sharepoint 2010 environment, support Word Templates? i.e. can a (.dotx) be "editible in browser"?
We have the MS office 2010 Web apps installed in our instance of Sharepoint 2010.
When I upload a Word Doc (.docx) to the documents library, the "Edit in Browser" option becomes available, and I can edit the document..... however.......
When I upload a Word Template (.dotx) to the documents library the "Edit in Browser" option is UNAVAILABLE. I'm unable to fill in any fields i.e. name address etc.
Does this mean the "light editing" capabilities of Web Apps Word 2010 are limited to (.docx) documents ONLY ?

Chuck.

Nailed it, thanks : )

Goodness, with all the robustness of Sharepoint etc, you would think editing a dotx in web apps would be a snap, but apparently Not!!
Thanks again : )
