Terminal User’s RDP session hangs during login
Hello Experts!
I have one terminal user who can’t login to the server. This is a Windows 2003 R2 terminal server. Upon entering login credentials his RDP session hang on the blue login screen and sits there forever. In the Security Log his credentials are successfully processed and his session also appears under Terminal User Manager.
He is the only user with this problem. We already tried several times removing his local profile and allowing it regenerate upon next logon. This helps for one logon but then the problem comes back.
We also have a roaming profiles enabled on the domain.
Any suggestions are very appreciated!

This sounds like he has too much stuff in his roaming profile? Can you empty it out and see if that changes the elapsed time? The usual suspects are music and video files, but it could be anything.
