Printer driver for server 2003


Hi there,

i want to install HP printer driver on my server 2003 machine.the printer is HP laserjet p2055dn. on its site they have exe files only and first i was reluctant to install the exe file and was looking for inf file.but not getting the inf file i went ahead to install exe file.but i got error when i started to install the exe file. i have to install the driver on server so my users who RDP my server can take printouts.

EXE driver files are usually just self-extracting compressed files. By running it all that happens is that all the driver files are extracted and saved in a directory. Then you use the Add Printer wizard to install the printer. When asked for the printer model, browse to the location of the files; the wizard will find the INF file and ask to confirm the printer model.

Unfortunately the full driver package from tsaico's link is a full installer. However, the PCL5, PCL6 and PostScript drivers from the same link are compressed archives, so you should be able to use them as I described above.

yes i used that link.but it contain only exe files
