Best Router and Switch models for CCNA lab

Hi I am curious if anyone can give me some insight on what would be the most ideal routers models for a Cisco CCNA home lab.
2600 Router and 2960 Switch?

in the 2600 series of router try to go for an XM model with flash upgrade so you can run the 12.4 stream of IOS. eg 2621XM
that switch is great.

Sounds like a beginning of a good lab for when you get your CCIE :)

2600 routers are sufficient and is the 2960. You could also look into using GNS3 or Packet Tracer sims. If you can get your hands on Packet Tracer, it would be perfect for preparing you for CCNA. GNS3 is only limited as it cannot simulate Catalyst switches, but Packet is limited by its command database, but it has enough commands for CCNA purposes.
