oracle 10g ias reports issue

i  have recently migrated  forms and reports from 6i to 10g. all reports are working fine.
but few reports getting issue where we used place holder columns in the computation.
whereever we use place holder columns value is repeating the same to all records.
eg::CP_ItemOsQty := Nvl(:POsQty,0)
but when we r running rdf in 10g thru builder its showing correct value but when we run thru parameter form, its repeating the value.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Use PL\SQL logic in a formula column to reset the place-holder columns to default (likely null) values for each record queried.  You probably have at least one formula column.  Just add lines in that column's PL\SQL block to do this work for you.  Or, if necessary, create a new formula column that doesn't need to be printed.  It just needs to reset all of the place-holder column values to whatever default value(s) you want them to have.  Without an explicit reset on each record, the place-holder columns in Oracle Reports (all versions) will carry forward a value from a previous record to the next record.

hi mark

we r doing the initialization in the formula columns also.
the report is running perfectly in 6i .
but in 10g thru report builder its showing correct value but when we run thru form only , its value is not showing perfectly . ie  place colder column is  not flusing the value.

Do you call reports from forms ? What does it mean "...but when we run thru form only ..." ? Is it parameter form on report server ?
