I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Turn off cached mode, check if you can send and receive messages, if you can then delete the OST file and turn on cached mode again.

Check to see if Outlook says it is trying to download the Offline Address Book or not when you get that error. You should see what it is doing on the Send/Receive and also in your Outlook\Sync Issues folder

thank you guys, just going through that first part, I didn't create a new address list, I go confused when trying to add one, closed out of the properties and just right clicked and rebuilt, seemed to fix the problem
