Fax printing legal; should print Letter

We have a situation where a client receives faxes on a regular basis from multiple external sources to the same fax machine that contains both letter and legal paper...prints just fine on the proper paper size.

From one external source houwever all documents are printing on the legal paper instead of the letter paper.  Have you experienced this problem, what was the solution?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If it only happens from one 3rd party, then that fax machine must be reporting to your fax machine that EVERYTHING that it sends is on legal paper.

The originating machine should communicate to the receiving machine what it is sending.  It sounds to me that the originating machine is doing that incorrectly.
