From Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010

Hello

I have to install a new WIndows 2008 R2/Exchange2010 server (new machine) in a domain with an Exchange 2003 server. Eventually the Exchange2003 server will go off-line

I want to keep all Exchange mailboxes, parameters, ect...same Exchange organisation. It is actually a migration (but on a new hardware server)

What are the different steps ?

Thank you

Great article here -> http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/A_2881-Migrate-Small-Business-Server-2003-to-Exchange-2010-and-Windows-2008-R2.html

Ignore the fact that it says from SBS2003 to exchange 2010, the priciple is exactly the same. Read it through and then read it again before you start!!

Neilsr has already posted my guide, if you have any problems following it then please ask questions.  The key to any migration, if you come across anything you are unsure of or doesn't look quite right ask BEFORE you continue.

It's much easier to fix at that stage. :)
