DIA - 48447

$ adrci
ADRCI> show homes

ADR HOMES:
diag/rdbms/sid/sid
diag/clients/user_oracle/host
diag/tnslsnr/server/listerner

When I am executing
$ adrci exec='set homepath diag/rdbms/<SID>/<SID>;set control \(SHORTP_POLICY=144, LONGP_POLICY=144\)"

DIA-48447: The input path [diag/rdbms/<SID>/<SID>] does not contain any ADR HOMES

DIA-48448: This command does not support multiple ADR homes

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What happens if you just do the following from the same ADRCI prompt where you issued the show homes:  set homepath diag/rdbms/sid/sid

I wonder if the full command line in the failing command is because SET BASE hasn't been used so adrci doesn't know where to look.

This question was about the error.  Why the purge command isn't working is a different question.

Since the error magically went away, I suggest you let me delete this question and you can open a new one asking why the policies are not working.
