Is there a software Similar to Novell Console One, but for Microsoft Windows servers?

here is a software similar to console one Novell uses for Windows? The ability to assign NTFS rights to users directly insisted of having to go to folder or manage multiple server permissions etc on one console is worth it alone

ideas?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Short Answer: No.

Long Answer: No, and MMC is a just a shell that calls dozens of entirely separate programs.

Longer Answer: No, and you shouldn't expect one. M$ has already sold you their half-a$$ed mediocre-ware, they've got no incentive to improve it. You'll get what they give you, and you'll like it - that's the nature of dealing with M$. If you want better, try something else besides Winblows.

You should check out Hyena from Systemtools.com:

Using the built-in Windows administration tools to manage a medium to large Windows 200x network or Active Directory environment can be a challenge. Add multiple domains, hundreds or thousands of servers, workstations, and users, and before you know it, things can get out of hand. Hyena is designed to both simplify and centralize nearly all of the day-to-day management tasks, while providing new capabilities for system administration. This functionality is provided in a single, centralized, easy to use product. Used today by tens of thousands of system administrators worldwide, Hyena is the one tool that every administrator cannot afford to be without."

It's still nowhere near ConsoleOne (AFAIK you cannot manage application distribution with Hyena) and it's not free, but it does make windows administration a bit less tedious
