Hi all,
I am using IMAP and when I open Outlook I can see the IMAP email folders. I also still have local personal folders (PST), but I don't know how to remove that. In the mailprofile setting I cannot change the delivery location, because only one personal folders is mentioned. Please see the attachment, the folder in de red box is what I want to remove.

go to account settings, data failes, mark the second file as default one and then remove the PST

or just create new outlook profile and configure the exchange account from it directly

There is no second file, only 1 personal folders (which I do not want) and IMAP (which is the live tree of the server of the provider).

ok, close outlook,go to control pannel, open mail icon, create new profile, reconfigure IMAP account

configure the new profile as the default one,

after all of these steps, open outlook

I removed all profiles and remade the IMAP profile with a brand new profile name. Still I am getting also a PST file which is unwanted.

I am sorry, it is Outlook 2003, but I think that does not matter for the problem.

Now the problem as seen in the screenshot occurs on 2 Outlook 2007 clients. A useless personal folder appears.

This problem does not occur on Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2010. Guess the 2007 version (perhaps just mine) is a bit buggy. Solved it by configuring 2010.

Own solution worked for me, but still does not explain the 2007 behaviour.
