Remote Desktop Services Publish Apps - Can't open files with locally installed applications

For example, I have a computer running Windows 7 with Adobe Acrobat installed locally and Office 2007 present via Published Apps from an RDS server.  If I email that user a PDF, the attachment in outlook will show with no file assosiation.  The user would have to copy the PDF to their local drive before the association is there.  RDS doesn't see the locally installed apps.  How to I fix this?

Is Adobe Reader installed on the RDS server?

No, I've only installed some apps on the RDS server, not all.  Adobe Reader is not installed?  Is it all apps on RDS or none?

I would try installing Adobe reader on the server to see if that helps.  I think that might fix it.

I'm sure that would solve it.  The question is, is there a way to have it recongnize Adobe is installed locally.
