Copy Hotmail contacts from computer to IPAD

I am trying to copy Hotmail contacts from a Windows XP computer to an IPAD for someone.   I was able to export the contacts to a .CSV file to the computer desktop.  BUt I cannot find how to import the file to the contacts on the IPAD.   I have searched internet and it always seems to say to open Itunes.  I open Itunes on the IPAD but cannot find what they are directing to do.  Any suggestions?

You would have to import the contacts into the outlook address book for the ipad to pick them up, or to any other program that the ipad can sync with ... there is no direct import into the contacts on the ipad.

You can use exchange configuration for Hotmail and not Hotmail option in IPAD.

There is a video of this configuration and the required parameters

http://windowsteamblog.com/windows_live/b/windowslive/archive/2010/08/30/hotmail-now-supports-push-email-calendar-and-contacts-with-exchange-activesync.aspx

and another page

http://bitelia.com/2010/08/disponible-configuracion-de-hotmail-para-exchange-activesync

When prompted select sync contact and calendar if you wish.
