Is there an easy way to add metadata to multiple photos at once in SharePoint 2007?

Hi,

I have a group of users that would like to use SharePoint to manage photos. They upload hundreds at a time, and would like to be able to add common metadata to each batch they upload.

I’ve tried to find a way to do that in a standard SharePoint 2007 Picture library, but haven’t been successful. I looked at creating a new Access View that would allow users to add metadata to multiple photos at once, but it ended up being almost as time-consuming for them as it would be to add metadata to photos one at a time.

Are there any easy methods or add-ons that would allow users to add metadata to multiple photos at one time in a SharePoint 2007 picture library?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Change your view to Explorer view and drag and drop them.
What about using datasheet view, which will allow you to copy and paste metadata to multiple files?

llarmeu - that doesn't allow me to add metadata to them.
brl8 - I'd love that, but unfortunately the picture library doesn't have an option to create a datasheet view.

that looks promising - i'll give it a shot and let you know! thanks!
There is also a batch check in add-in you can buy from SharePoint Boost, which we use regularly and works perfectly for us.  Each batch has to have common metadata, so if uploading many files with different metadata, this won't work.
