Convert existing DB driven site to Wordpress

Hi there, as the title suggests I want to convert my Classic ASP driven site (which uses a MSSQL database) and move it to Wordpress.

I'm sure it will be no easy feat and with over 6500 reviews in my database, doing anything manually is simply out of the question.

I've looked around for any kind of easy answer and I have a development site that I can install Wordpress on to play around, but figured I'd ask here first.

Any ideas?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Not sure what your question really is?  Moving the data to wordpress will be pretty easy I would imagine.  If you are going from MSSQL to a hosted wordpress you might find that they use MySQL instead and you will have to convert your DB first.  Assuming that you have most of the same fields in your article database, I think you will probably find it easiest to try and recreate the categories and authors in the WP site and then add a couple of articles to see how the database is utilized.  Then just convert and go.

I guess that’s my question, then.  I wasn’t sure if WP had a set table/db format that it used or if it was customizable to use with an existing database.  I’ve got a test site that I’m installing WP on right now so I can play around with it, but figured I’d ask first to see if anyone had some firsthand experience.
If you can pull the data out of the database with an rss feed you can add it into wordpress with an rss to post plugin like
