Snape Gear 560

I am trying to setup a site-to-site VPN in a Snap Gear 560 firewall, form Secure Computing.  Where would I go, and how, would I set up this connection in the firewall?  The connection is requiring a 3DES 128 or AES 256 encryption, which i know the firewall can do.  I have looked online, for tech support documents, and have not found any solutions.  How would I initially set up the connection on my end on the firewall?  Thank you for you time!

Respectfully,

Elliot

AHA! A newbie.

Then first let me welcome you to the wonderful world of vpn :)

First lesson: site2site is a global name for a site to site VPN (duh).

The are several protocols you can use for a site2site: PPTP, L2TP, and IPSec. Looking at the encryption I assume this will be an IPSec (can you confirm?).

So we open the pdf at page 215 and read through to the top part of page 227. Here is the information you need to set up the tunnel.

I think it is wise to first read this through. You will have a few questions after that (or more ;) but I think its wise to first get a global idea of what you are going to do.

So read and then shoot the questions you have.

I did. Where would I look to set up a site to site connection.  I have never done this before and want to make sure it is done correctly. Is it called something else, like PPTP-PPTP or something in that fashion?

Thanks,

Elliot
