"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

UBCD http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

This will do memory and hard disks for most computers.

Download links are the icons at the top of the page above Overview.  Browse the page and see what utils are there for you.  Check the memory and hard disk utils especially.

Also, you can go to support on the Dell web page and input your Dell Service Tag to get the latest software and drivers for your specific machine.  They usually have diagnostics available there for their machines.
