Cisco VPN Monitor CLi

Hi I would like to find out how to monitor site to site vpn conections on cisco routers and PiX/ASA firewalls using the CLi.

I usually monitor it through the SDM (routers) or ASDM (firewalls).
Though  i find that for SDM you need older versions of Java for you to get full functionality.

so basically what i m looking for is see if the site to site vpn tunnel/tunnels are up.

thanks in advance

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hello,

On Cisco routers, you may use:

"show crypto session" or "show crypto session detail"

see also "IP Security VPN Monitoring" @ http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t4/feature/guide/gt_ipsvm.html#wp1042935

Thanks.
