Move Netbackup Catalog data to other drive in same server due to space issue
Hi Netbackp Experts
On the Netbackup master server we having space issue on the drive where catalog data get stored, so we want to move catalog data to other drive which got 400 gig space availble in same server. So please advise how it is possible. please its prod site so please suggest proven methods.

Don't move the other folders. Anyway those folders doesn't occupy much space.

So db folder in new drive can be anywhere
example: E:\netbackup catalog\db
and same we will define in registry.
But I tried before I do to see how to create REG_SZ value in registry, unfortunately couldn't sort out.
As per the link u gave it says in step 3,
Locate the DATABASE_PATH key or if it does not already exist, create it using REG_SZ value making sure it is all in upper case. This DATABASE_PATH key is used to define where the NetBackup Image database is located.
For example: if the new database location is in D:\new_location\db, the value of "DATABASE_PATH" would be: D:\\new_location\\db
Could you please provide instructions how to create value of " "DATABASE_PATH" to define new locatoin in it.

right click and choose new value as string type and enter the path

thanks for helping, I think I able to find how to enter path I hope that's the way it should be in registry , still I didn't try to move catalog as I m just make sure all steps clear and also as its prod so I m finding suitable window.. but sure some time next week by friday. I wil do it and hoping all good as u provided the link from symantec.

Sorry.. Actually I moved the schedule again to execute this change on catalog location some other day/time because last couple times last night backups didn't finish on time, so I had to cancel and had to re-schedule another day and time..
I am too curious to do this.. I will let u know when it would be done soon.

Netbackup Catalog data folder 'db' has been moved successfully to the new location
I have moved the old db folder to other location as a copy. till 25/5.2011 12 pm.

But what about the other folders in netbackup folder which are along with db folder. ?
So those doesn't need to move ?
I know this would be funny question but I just got in mind as the link u gave is very clear about the steps.
