Oracle Ultra Search - Invalid Objects

Dear DBAs and experts,
I have a multitude of invalid objects in my database related to Oracle Ultra Search.
To clean up I tried to recompile these objects using the following commands:

execute dbms_utility.compile_schema ('PUBLIC');

and using the utlrp.sql script for all sys objects.

I still have the following objects left as invalid:

PUBLIC	WK$SYS_ADMIN_LIST	SYNONYM
PUBLIC	WK$INST_LIST	SYNONYM
PUBLIC	OUS_INSTANCES	SYNONYM
WKSYS	WK$IS_ADMIN	FUNCTION
WKSYS	OUS_INSTANCES	VIEW
WKSYS	WK$POST_OPTIMIZE_INDEX	PROCEDURE
WKSYS	WK$USERID	FUNCTION
WKSYS	WK_QUERYAPI	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_SNAPSHOT	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_LDAP	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_UTIL	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_ACL	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_ADM	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_CRW	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WKDS_ADM	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK_JOB	PACKAGE BODY
WKSYS	WK$SYS_ADMIN_LIST	VIEW
WKSYS	WK$INST_LIST	VIEW
WKSYS	WK$PRE_OPTIMIZE_INDEX	PROCEDURE

Could you please give me an advice what I should do with these objects? I would favour to recompile them somehow instead of dropping them. However, the described methods did not work for me.

Many thanks for your help,

Hi skahlert2010,

Which Oracle version do you use ? The Metalink Note that I gave to you was for Oracle 10g (il you use Oracle 9i, then the note is the 222517.1).
I suggest you to reinstall it properly if you really need this option on your database.

Hi skahlert2010,

What exactly do you want to do ? If you're talking about dropping the objects, then maybe you could uninstall the Ultra Search module. You can follow Metalink note 337992.1.

Hi phoenixior!

Thanks for you response!

Since the ultrasearch is already installed with uncompilable, invalid objects, I'd like to fix the invalid objects. I followed your hint and had a look at the metalink solution. However, the directory ultrasearch and wk0setup.sql are missing in my ORACLE_HOME. I made a complete search for the file with no hit.

Is there another solution you know?

Many thanks,

Hi Phoenixior!
I use version 10.2.0.1.0!

Like I said, I would reinstall it properly if I had the requiered scripts in that respective ultrasearch directory, which is missing!

Thanks anyway!

Best regards,

Hi,

As noticed in the first Metalink Note, in Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2), if you plan to use the Ultra Search product, then you must complete the Oracle Database 10g Products installation from the Companion CD (with or without DBCA).

Please ensure that Oracle Text and Oracle JVM are setup correctly too !

Only on 10.2.0.1 you must install Patch 4709052 before running DBCA.
