How load images into Sybase IQ

Hi,

I was just wondering what is the method to load images into Sybase IQ? How do I go about doing this? Is there any special license required etc etc?

Thanks!

Hi,

You can load images into columns defined as BINARY, TEXT, or LONG BINARY (BLOB).  This is a licensable option called the Unstructured Data Analytics (UDA) option.  IQ 15.2 supports some new indexes for objects stored in these datatypes.  In earlier version of IQ (aka 12.7) this was called the LOB option.

Hi again,

If you are interested to see if UDA / LOB will meet your needs ask your Sybase rep. if you can get a development license for UDA so you can try it out.
