Volume Backup of Exchange 2010 DB

The backups of this database seem to be fine.  But this database will not show that it has been backed up when I right click, properties in the ESM.  All my other databases show last night as the last successful backup.  But this DB says the last time it was backed up was in January.  Windows Backups says we are good.  Please help.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just a quick question, is the backup taking place on the server that has the mounted copy (if it is in a DAG)?

Yes.  3 servers and 3 databases - 1 is mounted on 1, 2 on 2, etc..  It is 1 that Windows says backs up fine, but when I look at the DB properties in ESM, it says the last full backup was in January.  I even deleted and reset up the Windows volume backup job.

Still no answer on this.  I guess I will make this post elsewhere.

I know the Windows Backup will ONLY backup active databases so what server are you executing the backup from and which databases are online on the server where the backup is running?

@Lucid8 - Yes.  Let's call this server 3 and it houses database 3.  That is where I run/initiate this backup.  This is a strange one because it appears to run fine - although I have not tested a restore...

I may have found the problem.  I see all the other servers are set to VSS Full backup of the volume and this one is set to VSS "Copy" - Let me change this and see how it goes.
