Exchange 2007 upgrade to SP3

Hello,

I have a block of time tonight (hopefully only 2 hours) to upgrade exchange 2007. Currently the server runs Windows 2008 Standard FE SP1. I would like to prepare and install the system up to exchange 07 sp3. Saddly (the reason why the client approved the down time is for this issue http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936197)  but obviously I want to pass sp1 and get up to date.

I know I do not need to install exchange sp1 and 2 and can go directly to SP3. However do I need to upgrade the system to Server 2008 SP2, I imagine that I should considering it is a nice block of time to complete it.

Also if someone could point me into a guide to prepare the system before I run the upgrade.

Thanks!!

You don't have to update the OS.

You should be able to update the OS to SP2 and install Exchange 2007 SP3 in less than 2 hours, I reckon 40 minutes...
