Windows 2003 asking for CD 2

I installed windows 2003 ent server but when it booted up it asked for CD 2.  Where can i download CD 2? I never had it ask me for CD2 (setup2.exe)? what files is it looking for?

if you installed R2 it has a second CD.

i run "winver" and it says "Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition".

I just installed SP2.  what should i do?  I need to setup AD, will it prompt me for CD 2 again?

Hi Fstinc,

The installation media you have used to install your OS is Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise. This appears to install as a non R2 edition for CD1. At the end of the installation, you are prompted for CD2, you are safe to cancel this prompt and your OS will happily run a non R2 edition.

The R2 CD installs R2 features, you may have an issue with your license key as you are attempting to license an R2 key on a non R2 installation. I would ensure your install passes activation before putting this server into production.

You can setup AD perfectly fine and no you will not be prompted for CD2 again. I have done what you have done many times before for my test lab.

Hope this helps answer your questions.
