Managing Windows Clipboard Access.

I am looking for a software utitlity that can manage all the various programs and add on and extensions that have access to my windows clipboard. My problem is that in certain programs or browsers the clipbaord paste actions has stopped working. there is an extension or add on that is interfering with the clipbaord functionality. I'd like to find out which program it is and disable it so I can use teh clipbaord to paste text into a web form. What utilities do you recommend? I have a Windows 7 machine 64Bit.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I've been using Clipmate for years and like it very much: http://www.thornsoft.com/. I also use cygwin and other tools and ClipMate captures it all.  It does occasionally "lose" the copy hook - usually because one the Microsoft Office tools steals it away -- but it has an option to recapture the copy hook and put everything back in order.

Technical support is excellent: Chris Thornton is the original and still active developer and is very response to questions.

Highly recommended!

This is helpful. Is there a utility that can tell you which programs or processes are actively accessing the clipboard and in what sequence they do that? Sometimes the windows clipboard function stops working. I have to restart the computer to get back access. It would be good to know which process is interfering with the clipboard to cause this problem.

Clipmate does that, as I recall, and there's also an option to 'recapture' the clipboard if it gets lost.  I'd suggest you check out the ClipMate site and even email Chris Thornton for more details.
