Why would you add the external DNS? Remove it again - you have alredy stated that the configs are the same, anyway having the external DNS added on a nic is not supported with ISA Server.
If you haven't already, deploy the ISA 2006 service pack 1
Run the ISA2006 best practice analyser and rectify any issues it highlights.
Re-check the failing sites with the realtime logviewer running and report the failures
If necessary, remove the GFI add-on and retest. If it fails its ISA, if it passes then its the GFI and give's you a path to follow.

please try to resolve that domain using external DNS like google DNS (8.8.8.8)

nslookup domainname 8.8.8.8

if that worked, then try to clear the internal DNS cache .

is you external domain name same as internal domain name for example "domain.com" ? please open the DNS server console, look for forward lookup zone. do you have any zone with you external domain name there ? if so, you need to create A record under that zone ( www points to your website ip).

yes . the person who did the ad/dns name as the public one . exsample company registered name xyz.com is the local domain also. I have mx record pointing to the mail.xyz.com. how can i do that . i have an idea to create the A record . www.xyz.com poiting to the web site address on the ISP ?

yes from your DNS console, under domain zone, create a new A record (www) points your public website ip address.

you can get th public web site ip address using nslookup

nslookup www.domain.com 8.8.8.8

thank you for your info.

I got the public ip address for the web site . now i can go with the host A recrod pointing to the External ip address . I have no record poitning to the open IP address in my DNS . why we need to put this such a record ? due to the same name as the internal ?

i have attached the r record screen to comment on the creation options .Am I correct on this
