Coldfusion/JS Popup Window Processing

I have an application that has a link that creates a popup window so the user can log in (create session variables) and continue.  The window is created with a very short JavaScript (see below).

I assume I can process this window like any other CF page.  When completed, I'd like to reload the "original" page with the popup window dismissed (start over again) as the user will now be logged in (with session variables).

How do I get the reload/dismiss to happen?

Thanks for your help in advance,
function tooltip_window12(url_anchor) {
  SmallWin ='store-save.cfm' , 'HelpWindow','scrollbars=yes,directories=no,toolbar=no,location=no,menubar=no,resizable=yes,height=400,width=760,x=200,y=100');
  if (window.focus) {
  if (SmallWin.opener == null) SmallWin.opener = window; = "PUMain";

Open in new window

Hi leakin971,
I know it's been awhile but i have a small question:

Q:  does it matter where in the page the script is located physically in the popup login window?

In the referenced case (on a successful login) the Browser will be returned with the script in line in the BODY after the FORM.  I'm not a JS guru so is this OK DOM wise?
