"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You Can try alternative keys like:
* use ALT+SPACE, window menu will apear and select minimize or etc.
* or try SHIFT+ WINDOWS KEY + M for minimize
* again i think it will work for you WINDOWS KEY + D, it will minimize all windows and show desktop
* if your keyboard have a optional and additional feature you should off them from specified key on keyboard or use Fn key,

It's not recommend which you install 3rd-party on windows server, but if it's emergency for you, use following link:

Is it ONLY Windows-M that isn't working?  If they're all not working (i.e. Windows-E for explorer, Windows-R for the Run dialog) then the group policy might have them turned off.

Start.. Run... gpedit.msc
User Configuration --- Administrative templates\Windows Components\Windows Explorer
Double click "Turn off Windows +X hotkeys" and set it to "Not Configured"
