How to have a combobox select records in a form

I have a form which is based on a query. The form's navigation buttons is on so I can click through the records in the query.
I will however love to have a combobox on the form to select specific records.
Can this be done and how?

add an unbound combobox which consists of a column for the record primary key (normally an auto number ID column) and the value which you want to display like last name in an address table and then use the "after update" event of the combobox to search the chosen record in the form.

    Dim rs As DAO.Recordset
    Set rs = Me.RecordsetClone
    rs.FindFirst "ID=" & Nz(Me.MyComboboxName, 0)
    If Not rs.NoMatch Then
        Me.Recordset.Bookmark = rs.Bookmark
    End If

Open in new window

"ID" must be the name of your ID column in the table.
