is there a way to pull from the AD GAL and display a photo on the iphone and outlook 2011 client?

hello, we are running Exchange 2010 SP1 [with rollup] and have the GAL photo working on the Outlook 2010 clients. how can we display a photo from the GAL on the iPhones and Outlook 2011 for Mac users?

You need to write an app to pull the photo from the GAL to the phone. Outlook does that by default. IPhone does not. Observe that this will require additional bandwith and response time.

Outlook 2010 pulls from the "thumbnailPhoto" attribute on the Global Catalog, it looks like the iPhone may be keying on a different attribute, also wondering if there is a way to display in Outlook 2011.

Yes, it is. Coding is required. Not that hard. LDAP might be the way to go.

You need to Google on coding for  the iPhone. (I'm not a mac person)
Regarding AD: Try "Active Directory LDAP search attributes"
