scrollbar out of control

hi all
my scrolbar has a mind of its own when i move my mouse from the scrolbar to the left it scrolls down to
the bottom of the page. The only way to get it back is to click on the scroll bar, another thing is the keyboard
wont respond when i press the keys some times done a virus scan ok uninstalled the mouse driver and keyboard drivers. running win 7

Thanks Davy

Sounds like hardware.  Replace the keyboard and test.  Keyboards and mice are the cheapest componenets these days.

If it is a laptop, try an external keyboard.

davy999--Have you looked in Device Manager for problems with the mouse/keyboard?  Does this happen with another mouse/keyboard?
Or if this is something recent, run System Restore.

Maybe you could be a bit more specific. Which mouse/keyboard is it ? Are they connected via PS/2 or USB.

Is it a Laptop or Desktop?
How long has this problem occured ?

Happened after an update / new installation?

But before running a System Restore, try booting you PC in 'Safe Mode', and check whether or not the problem still occurs.
