Removable Storage Service Disabled

Every time my server reboots the removable storage service is set to disable.

I have tried setting it to automatic but after the reboot it switches back to disabled.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check whether you have a GPO that changes this mode.

I have searched for a group policy but cant find anything relating to the cause of my problem.

i have also looked in  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\USBSTOR
and the start Dword value is already set  to 3.

Any further suggestions are very welcome as im scratching my head with this one.

Thanks in advance.

set startup type as you want
set read only registry permission to system account

do not check inherit from parent & check apply to child objects
 >> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NtmsSvc
