Assignee Presence not showing up in lists

Hi

I have a task list, where the “assigned to” field is defined as below.  It should therefore show up on the list as a name where you can see presence information just as in microsoft office communicator.

It used to show up with the presence when I used windows xp and the platform for Sharepoint was. V.2007. Now I am running on windows 7( and I believe the Sharepoint sites have been upgraded to v.2010?).  I myself have not noticed the issue before today.

I created a new task list on another site than the one with the issue above, and I get the same behaviour.

Have anyone else seen this behavior?  Is this a known issue with a known fix?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
