I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

not Homework. No access to the network.

Not much you can do other than to say don't use it.  You have to try to find the device or owner of it and talk to them about it.

What problem could happen if there was a rogue access point?
Kyle AbrahamsSenior .Net DeveloperCommented:
People could have access to the outside world that wasn't in your control.  Also if someone from your corporation connected to it, it's possible that the machine could become compromised (essentially by-passing any firewalls and security rules you had in place on the network).
