Access Form: allowedits false not allowing changing pages

Dear experts -
I have a multi-page form, that uses an option group to change pages. We change pages with this code:
miFrame2 = Me.Frame43
    Me!TabCtl165 = Me!Frame43

We have now added code in the Current event that, based on the user's access level, either allows or does not allow edits/additions/deletions. If this variable causes the allowedits/deletions/additions to be set to false, then this option group does not work.

any ideas?

Many thanks!!

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That's by design.  Not allowing prevents Option groups for working, as well as not allowing Combo boxes to be selected, even if unbound.

Try Locking controls instead of not allowing Edits.
