Subdirectory on c:\Windows\Temp

Hello masters,

I am checking the partition space c:\, this server is instaled windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2007.
I see that on directory c:\windows\temp, have four directories with the name  ~WizASD, 1,2 ... with some files.
The files have a space ocupation of 8 GB.

Any idea?

Thank you

Nothing critical should be stored in the temp folder. If you installed everything you need on the server already, it's probably safe to remove all those files in the temp folder. If they return, that only means that some application is creating them. It could be a temporary placeholder or some application log file.
If you are concerning these 8GB files are important to some applications, you may rename these files and move to other folder.

If there're no applications require these files after the server run a period of time (maybe weeks or month), it's safe to remove.

But actually no critical error will cause if you clean up files in c:\windows\temp
