what are the steps in using Turbo Tax to file income taxes?

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking about purchasing and using Turbo Tax to file my taxes online this year.  With this goal in mind, could someone give me the steps for using this program to file online?

        Thank you

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi

Thank you for your prompt reply.  It certainly sounds easy alright.  Incidentally, I have a friend of mine who wishes to use it to claim Student Loan Interest Only payments as tax deductable.  Will it be easy for him to find the appropriate form for this within TurboTax?

Hi

From what I am gathering, TurboTax pretty much determines the correct form for the user through its integrated wizard.  But, I stand to be corrected on that part.  Incidentally, is there any kind of processing fee associated with submitting a tax return through TurboTax?  Or, is it free?

          Thank you

Hi

After looking deeper into my options, I chose fileyourtaxes.com which was easy to follow.  And, as you described about TurboTax, it was a lot of clicking Next and Continue.  Thanks again for your input regarding TurboTax.  Perhaps I will use it next year.
