Access issue, cannot open table
Hey all, I set up a new Windows 7 P\C and am unable to open an Access DB that I was previously able to open in XP (both have Access 2007), I tested opening on another XP machine and was able to open the file, then I tested on another Win7 machine and it could not open the file.
I think the file format is Access 2000 or 2003.
Error - ODBC -connection to 'filename' failed, when I click ok I get 'Microsoft office access can't open the tabe in datasheet view'
Again, same error on both Win7 machines, works fine on both XP machines (all have Access 2007 and the same ODBC SQL server settings)
thoughts?

Your probably missing a DSN on the new machine or the Win 7 machines don't have a drive mapped.
On a machine that's working, open the DB with the shift key held down, then use the Linked table manager (Tools/Database) to see where the tables are pointing to.

<<Found the issue...Win7 was 64bit so you cannot use the ODBC in Control Panel...you need to use the one in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and run odbcad32.exe >>
Yes, that will do it. Make sure you accept your own comment as answer.
