Tools to monitor if anyone takes your name on social media sites.
Hi,
I have a user who is worried that on social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter, my space etc. third parties may assume his identify and pretend to be him which may further result in various unwanted situations.
I assume there is no way specifically to stop someone signing up on Facebook with the same name and claiming to be you. Obviously you can report this to Facebook after the event if you happen to come by it.
What I'm hoping is that there is a features directly in some of these social media sites or perhaps a third party service which can alert you if someone sings up with a particular name. In fact this would be good as a generic service rahter then just one particular social networking site.
So for example if your name was:
Johan Surname
(obviously it's easier if you have a less common name)
You can sign up to a secure alert service that should anyone ever sign up to Facebook / Twitter etc. with this name you are alerted to this fact.
I looked for a way to contact Facebook about this but could not find one.
Any input greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for the input on this.
eg. Johan Surname
May be replaced with Johan E Surname where e is the persons middle initial. Or Johan Eggburt Surname
This would also probably violate a users privacy.. just because they happen to have a close name to your own (mr eggburt haha) you are alerted to their joining.
unfortuntely i dont think theres an easy solution to this bad boy unless the user runs a manual search imafraid.. :(
