Exchange 2003 Shared Resource doesn't show calendar conflicts

Created a username with an email address reflecting a shared resource (conference room).
Scheduled meetings using the shared resource doesn't show confilcts when users are scheduling.
Any suggestions?

Is anyone actually accepting the calendar entries for the conference room "user"? If not, then perhaps its calendar is still showing as wide open, so there aren't actually any conflicts - yet.

This is NOT the case. The user/resource is configured to "Automatically decline conflicting meeting requests" Nice try though!
Still a possibility. Conflicts will only be declined by that setting if a calendar entry exists. If a calendar entry isn't accepted by the conference room user, there wouldn't be a conflict to force the auto decline.
What happens if you log into the conference room profile and schedule an event on that calendar directly, then have someone try to schedule something that conflicts, inviting the conference room user as well?

Absolutely. If Outlook users fail to logoff their profile from the domain, the changes won't take effect and not work.
